Bridge needs to completely replace the Finder (Mac).

So when I go to place in InDesign, it goes to Bridge instead.

Column view in Bridge like the Mac Finder - please!

Boolean searches, so I can find a group of items with different filenames

Grep searches

Sync all settings in Bridge across the CC team

Smooth scrolling from the mouse

Full file path - has been truncated in the latest version

I would not expect that ever to happen. Bridge cannot replace the Finder, not even close. And considering the cross-platform design, I'd be surprised if there is much platform-specific functionality added.

It won't work functionally either.

Your correct I don't mean replacing it at the system level, I mean within InDesign.
The spotlight integration is better than the Finder, thumbnail view is quicker, access to metadata is supported, and if they synced setting across a CC team workflow would be a lot easier to manage.

Hey Colin, you know you can drag and drop from Bridge to ID right? You just skip the whole import thing, just drag and drop.

You can write scripts to call Bridge from InDesign. And Bridge doesn't have any network or shared features to speak of, its really a stand-alone.
