Bridge CS4: No longer the default import application for my camera

Using a Macbook Pro:
Up until I updated my iTunes 2 days ago, my camera defaulted directly to my Adobe Bridge CS4 allowing me to name and download the pictures immediately wherever I wanted. Now I get a "you don't have permission" message. I cannot figure out how get the bridge back as my default, so I have to work through iPhoto first, then open up the Bridge in order to batch rename the photos. (grr)
Any insights?

Do you have the Bridge Preferences>General "When a Camera is Connected, Launch Adobe Photo Downloader" enabled?

Yes. Mine looks only slightly different than yours, but I have all the same boxes checked including launching when the camera is connected.
Wait....
(Going to take a nonsense picture so I can upload the message I get.)

Holy Guacamole! I wonder if signing onto photoshop.com did the trick. Do you think that's it? (???!!!)
Perhaps, when I was configuring my iTunes download, the two programs interfered with each other for no apparent reason.

At any rate, the nonsense picture immediately loaded up and I was able to download it just like before. Go figure.

I doubt signing in here did anything. Though opening and closing your prefs may have resaved your settings.

Maybe, however, I'd checked those same preferences as soon as I had a problem. To clarify: The pop up message I got was about not having permissions, which was very, very odd - and I got it even after rebooting.

One way or another, thank you for taking the time to help. I truly appreciate it.
