I was sent here fromAdobe.com so I hope this is the right forum even if this is concerning Bridge.

For a long time I had a problem with Bridge, that crashed as soon as I ran it. It started with a flickering cursor and then the application window would turn white and Bridge crashed.

The application have been unusable for quite some time, but today I realised what it was that caused the problem. I had a MTS-file (video format) in my startup folder. As soon as I removed this file, Bridge had no problems starting up.

I just wanted to share this to you, maybe other people have the same problem.

Can you post the offending file somewhere to help us troubleshoot? What OS/version are you running on?

This issue marked as solved but no solution posted. Several people, including me, have posted issues regarding Bridge crashes in folders containing other video formats, and the solution may help.
