Bridge CC 6.2.0: Update for Output Module

The Bridge update to 6.2.0 creates i/o errors when saving PDFs from the output module.   As Mac users know - the output module can be downloaded and added to adobe bridge extensions through the application library.  I tried removing the output module and downloading the latest output module files from adobe and adding them back.   No luck.  Also reinstalled Bridge - still no luck.   Finally - I rolled back to previous version of Bridge and output module is working again so likely an incompatibility with 6.2.0 and output module files.

I had exactly that problem this morning!  Mine is working again now--what I did was download the files and then copy them over the top of the ones already in my library.  One goes here: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC Extensions/Adobe Output Module  and the other goes here: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC Extensions/Workspaces

No idea why this works or if it really was the fix.....  Good luck to you!

Maybe the key was that you copied the files over what was already there..  I deleted my module files and added the new files under the locations you indicated.  Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC Extensions/Adobe Output Module  and the other goes here: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC Extensions/Workspaces.    In any case - rolling back Bridge to 6.0 is fine by me.  Maybe I will try updating to 6.2.0 next week and try the overwriting process.

Hello Ben,

With Br 6.2, we have updated the Output Module as well. Please have a look at this link and follow the steps to resolve the issue you are facing.

Thanks,

I'm having a bit of trouble, running Mac OS 10.9.5.
The instructions indicate I should put the new files into a folder named
"Copy the Adobe Output Module folder (not the AOM_Package_[OS] folder) into the Bridge CC Extensions folder in the appropriate location:
  • Windows: C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Bridge CC Extensions
  • Mac OS: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC Extensions"
There is only a folder named Bridge CC, not Bridge CC Extensions. May I assume this is the folder I should use?

That sounds like you went to ~/Library (aka /Users/<username>/Library) by mistake instead of /Library

Trying to follow the directions, using the Bridge CC folder, the following errors occur:
1. I can not select any fonts except Arial. Such an ugly font should never be used, so I hope this can be made to work differently.
2. When I hit the Save button, I get "I/O error" in the dialog box that appears.
Gosh, who thought it was a good idea to make us do all this manual installation instead of just continuing to have Output as an integrated (and properly tested) module that would just work when an update is released?
Any help gratefully accepted. Kevin O'Connor

Further...There is an instruction to go to the Go Menu, select Go to Folder, and paste in the following path, which then correctly displays the path /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Bridge CC Extensions.

I then pasted in the appropriate items as directed. Problem is NOT solved.
Still can't select fonts.  When I try to generate a PDF using the only font available (ugly Arial) Bridge crashes.
Again the question; why, oh why, Adobe, did you think decoupling this module was a good idea? I need it not to break with every update; IT IS AN INTEGRAL PART OF THE WORKFLOW WITH WHICH I MAKE MY LIVING.  What have we done to you that you would treat us this way?
Sincerely, Kevin O'Connor
