Bridge CC 2018: Crashing

I recently upgraded to Lightroom Classic CC 2018, Photoshop CC 2018, and Bridge CC 2018. So I have had no problems with LR or PS. But Bridge is randomly crashing a couple of times a day. The last few times were when simply restoring the app from the taskbar. It comes up but immediately throws up a Crash Report dialog. It's frozen and can only be dismissed from the task manager.

I am running on a Win 7 64bit OS fully updated. Anyone else seeing this behavior?

Thanks for the suggestion. I submitted a crash report using the pop-up that resulted from the Bridge crash earlier today.

I see you have posted only three times having joined the the forum in July 2017. So when you say "we will investigate" I have to ask, are you an Adobe representative?

I run on Mac Pro with OSX 10.13. Since upgrading from CC2017 (along with Photoshop and LR / LR classic) I have had nothing but problems with the app crashing and taking ages making the preview. I normally run the app on filmstrip view. Please advise. I suspect I am not the only one here!!!

Hi Nino,

I can't really comment on your specific issues since you are running on OSX 10.13 and I am running on Win 7 Pro, 64 bit. The OS can make a big difference. As I mentioned, I am not have any stability issues with Lightroom Classic CC 2018 or Photoshop CC 2018. My initial stability issues were with Bridge CC 2018. In the last week since my initial report, Bridge CC 2018 has stabilized. I reinitialized all settings to their factory presets, purged my caches and let the app reindex my drives. Yesterday all three apps ran all day with no issues. You might consider doing the same if you haven't done so already.

In addition, after my original posting I have seen few reports of Bridge CC 2018 instability/crashing issues similar to mine. I also received very few replies to my post so I can only assume the initial Bridge issues I saw are/were limited in scope.

Hi Nino,

I also downloaded LR Classic CC 2018 and PS CC 2018 and Bridge CC 2018. I am on a Mac Pro

running OS 10 11.6. LR and PS are working fine but Bridge locks up. When I click command, option,

shift Ito open Bridge I can clear the cache and then Bridge does not freeze, but it runs very slowly. I

have decided to quit using it and use Bridge CS6 which runs just great. Since you upgraded to OS

10.13.1 and it did not make a difference I am holding off upgrading my OS
