Bridge 9.1 doesn't auto-advance to the next image on delete

We just installed the new version of Bridge (9.1.0.338) and the first thing we noticed is that when editing, if you delete a file, Bridge no longer auto advances to the next image and if you hit an arrow key, it just jumps you back to the beginning. We tested this on two work stations, and the same issue occurred on the second machine after the update. I searched for a preference but couldn't locate anything. For the moment the workaround is to open batches of images in Camera Raw and then edit there but that seems way too inefficient, at best.

Just tried this, and I have the SAME PROBLEM. This makes the newest bridge revision COMPLETELY USELESS to me. I use Bridge to work through THOUSANDS of images each day. Can't do that with this BUG. C'mon, Adobe. Get your heads out of your posteriors.

Received word from Adobe, on the Bridge Forum, that the issue has be identified and they are working on a fix.

Good news, I guess. It's like they don't have anyone actually testing this stuff by USING it. Sheesh.

I find the same and it seriously slows my work flow.  Makes me want to go back to Bridge CS6.

I noticed the same. I manage it for now by just manually selecting the next image in the content panel after a deletion - if not it just sends you to the top of the list if you hit the arrow key. I was also told by adobe the problem would be addressed in the next update. Agreed: That was a big error. As another work around, Adobe suggested installing the previous version of Bridge.

I have encountered this problem and, like other folks, this makes this version of bridge useless for me. I capture a lot of images in a session and this change makes it infeasible to process the images in an efficient fashion.

Why is it taking so long to fix a simple issue, a feature that used to work - Adobe should be able to instantly revert to the previous feature.  The ongoing problem is adding dramatically to my workflow time

I talked with the Bridge folks. They're aware of this issue and it's on their radar for their next update.

Adobe doesn't usually release small bugfix versions of Bridge. This fix should be in the next major release. I suspect you'll see a bunch of new apps released for Adobe Max.

Simply re-introduce.  Nothing difficult about that.  Without which it is penalising thousands+ of photographers

:shrug: different perceptions of the problem. I can't change their release schedules, as I said it wouldn't surprise me if new releases of pretty much everything are out in a month. If they don't fix it then, you have ample reason to complain.

The upcoming v10.0 of Bridge fixes this issue. For early access to this release, you can go to https://www.adobeprerelease.com/ , select Adobe Bridge and sign up for pre-release (under NDA). You can then download v10.0 Drop 4 (or latest).

That's great Teja, it all seems to work as it did previously.  In that after deleting an image the next one is displayed.  

The one thing I still find a massive hinderance is the template order in the File info box is no longer in alphabetical order (the order is correct when viewing in Finder on my Mac).  Is this another common occurrence, as I have been disrupted by this for over 12 months now, and would very much appreciate a return to alphabetical order when searching for templates.  I hope you can advise, thanks.  Nick
