Bridge 2020 (on mac) - not writing metadata to files on networked drives (and bringing up persistent error messages for every single file)

We've just updated to Bridge 2020 10.0.2.131 (Mac running Mojave 10.14.6) and now cannot write metatdata to files on any of our networked drives (constant and across all connected drives - we occasionally have permissions issues but this doesn't seem related). Local files are fine.

Also, there's an error pop-up for every single file - "There was an error writing metadata to...". I have to force quit every time I forget (or test more than one file) rather than clicking okay a ridiculous amount of times.

Permanent fixes to both would be great & any workarounds in the meantime would be much appreciated!

Adobe recommends NOT working on network drives. You should talk to your IT people and get the networking/file sharing issues settled. Unfortunately, macOS has problems with Windows Server at times. Newer versions are better but not foolproof.

This is a new consistent Bridge 10.0.2.131 error that has not occurred before, not an issue with our network. We've used essentially the same process for years. We accept a certain amount of bugginess working with the drives but this is not that. Most of our work is local but there are a range of tasks including metatdata writing that are completely impractical to do off network. We'll have to switch programs or go back to the previous version if there's no other workaround.
