in LR4, anyone having problems exporting Book as PDF? Also in book module, when I use the slider on a page to zoom the photo in/out, it will vanish in the middle of sliding it. Takes 2/3 tries to get it to stay on screen.

Hi Mylan, what OS/version are you running Lightroom on?

Hi Jeffrey,

I am running Mac OS X 10.7.3.

I hope to try LR4 on my PC laptop to see if the issue shows up there too.

Jeffrey,

It appears the issue with printing to PDF only appears when there is at least one 2 page spread included in the book. I was curious how that would come out in the PDF. I've tried to attach a screen shot of the error I get so you can see it.

I have the same problem.

If I want to export to PDF I get the error message:

"An error occurred while saving the book.
There was an error creating the PDF file. "

If I want to export to BLURB I get the message:
"An error occurred while creating the book."

The creation or export always stops at the same page which contains a two page spread. Interestingly there is a two-page spread before that didn't throw an error. I treid to move the page to the end of the book. Then it throws the error at the next two page spread.

I deleted the two page format pages from my book and was able to save it as a pdf (albeit without the cover or back photos) and send it to Blurb. I received my book last week and they did an excellent job.

Hi All, similar issue running LR 4.1RC - however I don't get any errors when exporting book to PDF, the status bar in the top left just says "Exporting book to PDF", I have even left it for over 6hrs and no file is ever created. It worked fine on LR4.

Is there a fix for this problem in our future?
