Lightroom: Blue screen windos 7 halt on raw conversion

Blue screen system halt caused by selecting raw files (canon) at a directory level with subdirectories (approximately 400 raws out of 1000 images) converting to jpg with the destination directory the same as source. System halt every time. Smaller conversions seem to work. Using this method to recover disk used by raw by converting to jpg

Blue Screen is usually caused by a low level issue at the OS/Driver/hardware level.
