I downloaded the newest version on Lightroom yesterday. The program opens just fine but when I go to the develop tab I get a big blue box and no photo. I have uninstalled it 4 times already. Please help! I use LR every day!

Hi Jayne,

Short term fix.

1. Launch LR and open preferences.
2. Switch to the Performance tab
3. Uncheck/disable Use Graphics Processor
4. Click the System Info button and post here what is reported under "Graphics Processor Info: "
5. Restart Lightroom

Hope that helps.

Regards,

- Chris

What OS version are you using?
If you are on Windows, have you updated your video card driver from the GPU maker's website?

Jayne,

If you wouldn't mind, please download and run the test utility mentioned in this thread. Look for the post from Eric Chan (Adobe engineer).
