Blank popup window when closing jpeg file in Photoshop CC

I downloaded the latest update for photoshop cc this morning and now have a slight problem. When I have a jpeg file open in Ps and make changes to it, if I do ctl+w to close the window a blank popup window appears. Until I downloaded the update to photoshop cc this morning, the popup came up and said something to the effect "do you want to save the changes you made?" I can still work around by simply hitting enter and it brings up the next popup window so I can choose size of file and then hit enter to save and close. But for someone not familiar with this procedure, opening a blank window could be a little disconcerting.

Hmm, that sounds like possibly you install could be damaged and some of the UI strings and resources might be missing.

Uninstalling and reinstalling the app should solve that. But I'm a bit worried about what could have damaged the installation in that way.

That's exactly what I did...and now it is fine. When I booted up yesterday morning, I had a message that there were five CC programs with updates available so I clicked install all and didn't see anything unusual until I hit this problem in photoshop. The ctl+w is a normal workflow for me with jpegs I am cleaning up in photoshop so I didn't panic when I came up with a blank popup instead of a message asking me if I would like to save the changes. I simply hit enter and up came my usual popup for size file I wanted to save.

thanks for replying

Actually the problem is still there. I had the maximum number of jpegs opened in photoshop and was working my way through adjusting them. After fixing one, I would hit ctl+W and the popup would come up asking if I wanted to make changes I would hit enter and it would save it. After fixing and closing about 60 without an issue, it has gone back to showing a blank popup when I hit CTL+W. BUT this time I let is sit there for a couple of minutes while I started typing this and it eventually filled in the blank popup with "save changes to the adobe photoshop document...with yes being the default popup. I'm working on a Toshiba laptop with 24 gigs of ram and no other programs open and the program is running on the solid state C drive. Any thoughts?
