PHOTOSHOP: Bevel & Emboss for Brush Strokes (impasto simulation)

I would love to see settings in Photoshop's Brush panel that add the Bevel & Emboss layer style effect to each brush stroke, and in doing so simulate build-up of paint, as seen in this picture:

As you can see, it is an effect that is currently possible to achieve, but you have to make a new layer with the Bevel & Emboss layer style for each individual stroke, which is very inefficient and cumbersome, even when done using Actions to set hotkeys for it.

I would be happy if you only hook the Bevel & Emboss layer style code into the Brush panel and make sure it's done per stroke, but if you come up with more controls that make it even better suited for the Brush Tool, that would of course be very much appreciated.

And to be clear, I don't need the style to remain active and editable after a stroke is placed. The intention is to have each stroke's Bevel & Emboss effect automatically rasterized into the stroke when each stroke is made.
