Better Panorama Stitching in Photoshop & Lightroom

It was amazing to hear that panorama stitching was incorporated into lightroom instead of just photoshop, however it feels like the same bloated, usually doesn't work for more than ten photos (less in lightroom), software. Microsoft ICE is about 20x faster (as are most other stitching programs) and can do insanely large images with little processing power, but I'd much rather not deal with exporting as a tiff, stitching, and re-importing to edit.

Can we have new photo stitching software? Thanks!

About 30% of the pictures I try to stich to a panorama in LR6 don't work correctly. Most times they misplace a picture (second image is put at the end etc. Why is this ?????? They get the panorama correct in Photoshop.
Please correct your stiching software in LR6
The first picture I done with LR^ and is wrong, the second picture is done with photshop and is correct.

I have the same problem with panorama merge. More then nine or ten images and they get merged out of order. Eight or less works fine. I am running OS X Yosemite on quad core i7 at 3.4 ghz with 16 gb RAM. Should be plenty to handle the workload. It seems this bug should have been noticed and fixed quickly.

I have only 4 pictures and they are in the wrong order, picture 1 and 2 don't stich even as they have a 20% overlap.
When is Adobe do something about this problem?????

Hi Bert, until they fix things it pays to overshoot your panos a little bit if you haven't tried that already. Photoshop tends to like 30-40% overlap in my experience. Sometimes that doesn't work, but in general I get better results.

Hi Ryan,

In Photoshop I can make a panorama of the same 4 pictures, but those 4 pictures can not make a panorama in Lightroom.
Why is that still not addressed by Adobe?? I feel I have wasted $80.00 on this LR6 upgrade.
To see my 4 pictures that I can't make a panorama in in LR6, see my dropbox link:
