Hiya,

My plan is to upload my ~25,000 family photos & Videos to LRCC. I also want to maintain a cloud backup of everything i put into LRCC. Is there any way to do a direct back of LRCC to a cloud system like OneDrive, Google Drive, Drop Box, etc?

I believe LR CC keeps a copy of your catalogue locally.  My copy (on an Mac) is in the pictures folder:  Lightroom Library.lrlibrary

I know LR Classic keeps the catalog local, but I don't think the new LRCC does the same.

Your catalog and full size originalimages are backed up in the Lightroom CC cloud.

If you want to keep all copies locally and backed up in the Lightroom CC cloud, open Preferences > Local Storage, and check "Store a copy of ALL originals locally"

Backing everything up to another cloud system would be a 3rd, redundant black up. We don't recommend syncing images and catalogs to 3rd service because the sync engines compete with one another in such a way that the performance on the system would be compromised.

I am at the import and have pointed the import to a small directory of photos (some in that directory and others in various directory structures under the import directory).  But it just shows tiles of a little over 800 pics with no directories list.  I suspect importing at this point will lose my directory structure.

There is an Add to Collection option and it calls it a Quick Collection.  That indeed did import the entire directory structure!  So, step 1 done!

I then did a create collection at that directory and now the folder structure is present in the Collections panel.

That's a step  right direction, Jeffrey, but I don't ever want my files to be stored locally -- I want to be able to copy them from LRCC cloud to some other cloud storage system.

I was able to save the top folder of collections and export it as a catalog.  Then go into Lightroom CC and migrate the catalog.  All pictures were brought in with folder structure.  Thank you very much!!!
