Photoshop: background of filter window is in black and cant read font (corrupt MacOS files)

the background of th lifler>lens correction or filter galary is black and I can't read what is written since the fonts are in black too.

MacOS - did you use a utility like Onyx to "clean" or "slim down" your system?

When we've seen this in the past, it's been due to a corrupt OS install, usually from a utility attempting to "clean" the OS install.
Reinstalling the OS solves the problem.

(reinstalling Photoshop won't do anything, nor deleting Photoshop's preferences - which tells us that the problem is not with Photoshop files)
