Lightroom: Autotagging tags all pictures on last location only in LR6

Hi!

I am using Lightroom 6.

I downloaded my google location history in kml, converted to .gpx - load it in lightroom map module, works great.

I then try to autotag pictures within the date and time range of the tracks, in those locations. Autotag tags all my pictures in the last location.

I've tried many tracklogs (a day, a month, a year), converted with GPSbabel and various websites, tried autotagging different albums, tried using only my main display and my secondary display. Always tags them at the last location.

Ideas?

It's possibly a time zone issue.  Since photos usually don't have a time zone associated with their recorded capture time, while track logs are usually recorded in UTC (GMT), you need to use the Map > Tracklog > Set Time Zone Offset command to match the camera times with the tracklog times.

That command isn't documented and I always find it confusing to use.  If you're not able to make it work or solve your problem, the most efficient way to troubleshoot is to upload to Dropbox (or similar) a sample GPX tracklog with two photos you are sure should be on the track.  We can then take a look.   Trying to help without samples at hand is extremely difficult.
