It would be great if Lightroom catalog preferences also has a method to create a new catalog with all the presets, preferences, of the current Master. For persons with multiple computers, the ability to keep the presets/preferences with the catalog is great, EXCEPT when you create a new one then it is a hassle to copy all the presets, and reset the preferences for the new catalog, then copy in the camera profiles and Lens profiles etc. It would be great to have a way to copy/store all the presets/preferences and other files needed to operate on one drive, as well as, any new presets in the new catalogs back to the Master. Basically we need to be able to sync ALL the catalogs multiple presets/preferences/files including DNG camera profiles and Lens profiles, and keep them all current. Thank you

I'm confused - how are these multiple computers connected?

Ya say you're creating a new catalog for each computer? - why not just share the same catalog, e.g. via portable drive..

One computer has the Master, the others are slaves? Is master always the same computer, or do they switch roles sometimes?

I mean, I see the need for syncing camera and lens profiles because those are not kept with catalog but with app-data on local drive. But if presets & prefs are kept with catalog, they can be moved from computer to computer along with catalog via external drive, no?

Am I missing something?

For the mean time, consider using a tool like Scooter Software's Beyond Compare.

Of course, computers need to be connected somehow for any kind of synchronization.
