Hi,I have downloaded the Lightroom from Cloud and been using for some time. In my Creative Cloud account I noticed there was an update for Lightroom. I updated and it installed a new verison which did not have all my data or imagr libraries. It turns out I was using verion 5 and I think it updated to CC. How come it did not just updat over the 5 so I could keep all my previews the same and all my library of images?
Thanks,

It probably just created a new catalog and opened that. Go back to where your old catalog was on your hard drive and double-click on it. If you don't know where that is, do a search. On a Mac, it's typically in the Pictures folder ( in your home folder ).

So I also delete version 5? I just dont understand why in an update it would completely reinstall a separate version...

Lightroom version 5 and Lightroom Creative Cloud are totally different versions, so yes, get rid of version 5 if the Creative Cloud version installed fine and opens fine.

When you indeed updated to CC,  none of your data and/or image 'libraries' is lost. Just as Carlos i think you made a new catalog.
