Auto Adjust "Exposure" on latest release of LR Classic

I am using latest ver of 8.3 LR CC (Build 201905061635-edecdffdb)

Somewhere in the last two upgrades there seems to have been a change in the AUTO ADJUST in the DEVELOP MODULE, Basics Panel. (I was away for the Feb, Mar and Apr upgrades)

I have been using AUTO ADJUST as a starting point for over a year (at least) and generally only have had to adjust the WHITES and BLACKS to most images.

Now I have to make a major subtraction to the EXPOSURE on every image.

I realize everyone processes their images to their taste, but there seems to have been a substantial change (not to my liking anyway).

That is not the current version.
This is the current version.

Then don't use the Auto option. Or use it then adjust to your liking.
