For Photoshop CS6; When I use the select tool, the window where the image I'm editing goes negative momentarily, also the area behind the image (I think it should be dark grey) is lagging when I zoom or pan.

Are you on Windows 8? There are known problems with Windows 8 where the drivers and OS OpenGL code malfunction and cause problems similar to what you are describing. Setting the GPU mode to Basic, or turning off the GPU features in Photoshop usually solves the problem. We are still waiting for a complete fix from Microsoft and the GPU vendors.

If not Windows 8, then just update your video card drivers from the GPU maker's website.

I'm using Windows 7 Home Preimum 64 bit. Text tool, the colour is wrong if I have text, everything's working but photoshop just doesn't make it look right, it makes everything look negative with all the actions lagging.

Again, either turn off GPU drawing in Photoshop, or go update your video card driver from the GPU maker's website.

Doesn't seem to work, I'll try reinstalling the driver, this only occurs in 64 bit Photoshop it seems, when I open the 32 bit version it doesn't happen.

Still sounds like a video driver issue.
