Photoshop: Are you using Smart Objects or not?

I get the feeling that Smart Objects are not high on Photoshop users' radar. At least, I see very few requests for new features in the Smart Object world.

Is this true? Are Smart Objects not used much by you?

If you don't use Smart Objects regularly, try Dr Brown's Edit Layers in ACR. This creates an ACR Smart Object from any layer in Photoshop - and all of the editing power of Camera Raw can then be used on the layer ... totally non-destructively of course. This means that the layer white balance, exposure, contrast, sharpness, clarity, vibrance, chromatic aberration etc., ect., can be done in one go ... non-destructively if one wishes.

It would be very useful to start a discussion on Smart Objects - if for no other reason than to encourage Adobe to develop them further.

Over to you (I hope)!

I guess the lack of response is a answer in itself!! Why would Adobe do anything with Smart Objects if there is no interest in them?
