I frequently get black or white squares or rectangles when I'm editing. Zooming sometimes help, but sometimes I need to close the image and re-open. What is happening?

I'm getting this issue too! Really frustrating and seems to only happen after photoshop has been open for a while.

Looks like the well known video driver bugs in MacOS 10.10.
Apple is aware of the driver bugs, and working on a solution.

In the meantime, you can disable GPU drawing in Photoshop and restart the application. If you need the GPU features in Photoshop, you may want to consider downgrading to a stable version of MacOS (10.9.5 or 10.8.5).
