I dont have the machine in which photoshop cs5.5 is installed (as said) but need to know the exact file which will determine its installation along with specifying it as extended.I depended on the .swidtag file under Local OS drive.But now the machine owner is saying it doesn't exists in the machine.
Is there any way to get hold of this data so that i can use it to detect the exact installation as Photoshop CS5.5 Extended.I dont have remote connection permission to this machine also.
But from the output of a tool iam able to see the file "Photoshop.exe" with version 12.1.0 and in add/remove program its droping the package name as "Adobe Photoshop CS5.1".
But again the Product name under SOFTWARE installer section is "Adobe Photoshop CS5.5 Extended" which i can't take for detection in my code.

Please Helpp!!!!!

If you choose Help>About Photoshop... (Win) or Photoshop>About Photoshop... (Mac) the splash screen will tell you if the serial entered is Extended or not.

Otherwise, if you don't see "3D" or "Analysis" in the main menu bar, then your install/serial isn't recognized as Extended.

There is no simple file or registry entry to check for that information -- you have to check it inside Photoshop.

Thankzz guys for your replies!
But here is something i want to share that you may be knowing;
The tag files are dynamically generated during installation and product launch(regarding Adobe products).
Tag file location:Either of two->
%ALLUSERSPROFILE%\Application
Data\regid.1986-12.com.adobe
or
%PROGRAMDATA%\
regid.1986-12.com.adobe
Tag file content excerpt somewhat like this;
Example:
-----------------
Adobe Creative Suite 5 Master Collection

5.0

5
0
0
0

----------------
This is the file content of *.swidtag i was talking about in the earlier update which we use to detect the software.
And yes;
HelpAbout will not help our code to detect as thtz only the GUI.I need something
dropping physically like the above tag file where i can insert
Adobe Creative Suite 5 Master Collection
5
0
these 3 lines in my code for detection.
And if this file is not bieng dropped,then really isn't there anything that we can rely on for detection by code.
And as already said i dont have access to the machine and usually our code detects and prove that this is the software present in someone's machine!
This helps them in license audits and managing there assets in an effective manner.
I gave a long description.
Please help again!!!
Any solutions!!!!
If any questions please ask,but please help me out here???

A lot of thnkzz in advance!

Inthe above Tag file excerpt example,the iam unable to paste the exact content written with special characters.So please consider this.......The actual file content looks different ...but surely has the above stated lines that we use.!!
