LR and PS: An unexpected end-of-file occurred - RGB blue channel damaged

I'm using LR4 and Photoshop CS5 on a Mac OS X 10.7.3 - all programs are updated

I have an error in my last processed pictures, which I can't explain. I used my usual workflow, first edits in LR4 then export to PS CS5 saving back to the catalogue.

When I wanted to upload my pics to Flickr, I got an error message and thought first the publishing add-on had a bug. But on check of the pictures it turns out that part of the RGB Blue Channel has become damaged. I was able to save one picture with not much colour, by simply applying the healthy red channel to the blue channel.

I can't even access one of the damaged images in LR4, nor in PS "an unexpected end-of-file occurred".

I can access some in PS CS5 where I detected the issue with the blue channel.
I can see some of the damage in LR where the psd file show the faulty blue channel as blue stripes on the picture which even react to the colour sliders.

I have no idea what happened and why.

The blue channel is partially intact, but some part of the image has just stripes.

Any ideas?

You should probably supply a copy of the original image and the damaged rendition.

Same problem, just started happening on RAW / NEF files.
Recovered the deleted files on the card, and some worked, some didn't
frustrating as I can see them/browser view, but can't save to another format nor change...

Check your disk for problems, and make sure you have a good backup of your data.

I used Picasa to at least open the files and then cropped out the damaged part. save as large .jpg Better than loosing the whole thing.

The funny thing is, in LR the full photo looks fine.
Just can't do anything with it. Can't save, can't convert nothing, but the photo looks normal.
