I frequently need to match colors across different software applications, it would be very helpful to be able to alt+click using the eyedropper tool and have the hex color code that's selected copied to the clipboard.

I'd be using it to move the color from photoshop to a different application. Is there a shortcut for this? Currently, I use the eyedropper, double-click foreground color and copy highlighted hex code.d

Howdy David,

ALT+click with the Eye Dropper tool is actually already in use to set the background color.  That said, there's not really a mechanism to add such a keystroke combo without making code changes.  Is this really something that impacts many user workflows?

Thanks,
David
