Lightroom: Allow smart collection settings to target the "Quick Collection" or "Targeted Collection"

Right now I have a few smart collections for filtering through new image imports: "picked", "starred", and "needs retouching". By default these include all photos in a catalog. If I could target the quick collection I could just hit B and wouldn't have to do any of these workarounds:

1) Create a new catalog for every imported set
2) Add an "active" keyword while the images are under review, then remove it after
3) Manually type in the collection name to the rules of every smart collection in the process every import

You can create a Quick Collection where:

Collection > Contains>Quick Collection

That's what I tried originally as a test. I had 2 images in the Quick Collection, but it didn't pull in photos from it. Or did you mean to create a new collection called Quick Collection and then just use that as a targeted collection? That would work at least a little better than what I'm doing now I think so I'll give it a shot.

Indeed the quick collection is a "special" collection - it's name "internally" is NOT "Quick Collection", in fact it does not have a name at all, nor a type.. - things that make it a nuisance for plugin programmers too.

2nd +1 is mine ;-).
