Allow more list view customization in Bridge

I'm currently working on metadata for 10,000+ files and have been using List View in the Bridge Content Panel. I've tried both the Metadata workspace and saving a custom workspace.

There are a couple of problems:
-Closing columns is not sticky. I can reorder columns just fine, but switching away from and back to the workspace makes the default columns all reappear. If I close a column I want it to stay closed.
-New columns cannot be added. I'd like to add the Description and Title fields (in the CONTENT panel, not the Metadata panel) and can't find a way to do so.
