Lightroom CC: Allow export directly to external/internal drive without needing to use the main drive for temp storage

I've was informed that Lightroom CC requires a certain amount of space on my main OS drive for exporting. This is how I've encountered the error. I'm running on a limited 256 GB SSD and I have an internal 3TB hard drive where I store my data. When attempting to export a 7500 RAWs to my 3TB hard drive, I encountered the low disk space error. What I was told by Adobe support is that I need sufficient space on my main drive for some sort of a "temp" space because this is how Lightroom CC exports.

Please look into how you can bypass this limitation, or smartly create a way that you use the temp space in batches. The only workaround I can find is to break the exports to smaller segments. Alternatively, please do allow the Lightroom download tool to select specific folders/albums for download instead of the entire cloud storage.
