I updated Photoshop and now when I try to export anything, the dialog box is all in script font and I can't read a blessed thing!  Any idea what's going on and how to fix it????

Liz. did you use Export as. If so I'd try resetting your preferences. I just ran it on mine and it looks fine. What os are you running?

Hi Liz,

Agree with John that resetting preferences is a good place to start. Let us know if you continue to see this behavior after that. Refer to this link for instructions: https://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop/using/preferences.html

Thank you,

No luck.  I tried resetting the preferences as per the tutorial and I'm still having the same problem in Export as.

Today I tried uninstalling and re-installing Photoshop to no avail.  It only seems to be the "export as".

Hi Liz,

After doing a little digging, it sounds like it might be a font conflict. What OS and version are you running (i.e. Mac 10.13.1)? Also what version of Photoshop are you running - found in Help > System Info?

The fonts used for drawing the UI are: San Francisco, Helvetica Neue, Lucida Grande, Segoe UI, and/or AdobeClean. There has been a known issue with Helvetica Neue and Apple, so it might help to replace Helvetica Neue with another font.

If you need to install fonts on your Mac, the instructions are here https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201749

Thanks,
Hannah

Hmmm okay is it just your Export As panel? Would you check the Libraries panel and New Document to see if they look normal?

Can you open Help > System Info and paste the contents into a text file? Feel free to email it to me if you'd rather not share it publicly. I'll attach my email below.

Thanks,
Hannah

Hi Liz,

Check your machine to see if you have one of these fonts installed:

San Fransisco, Helvetica Neue, Lucida Grande or Segoe UI

Click the window icon, then type "Fonts" and under Settings you'll see the option "View Installed Fonts"

Thanks,
Hannah
