All photoshop settings gone with every update

Hey,

I really did every update on Photoshop, starting with CS6 -> CC -> CC 2014 ... etc. until yesterday. In previous times from CSX -> CS6 the settings some times got lost, some times were restorable automatically.

But since 2015 some settings are lost with every update. From 2015 to 2015.1 my workspaces and all other settings are gone. 2015.1 to 2015.2 all settings were gone too. From 2015.2 to 2015.3 my document presets were gone but my workspaces stayed alive - my menu customs not. With 2015.4 was the same ...

And again on 2015.5 my doc presets are gone - luckyly the workspaces stayed alive this time ... what the hack is going on here?

The best thing: Using my Wacom tablet with different Adobe applications is now nonsense - with every "new update" (what is in fact an upgrade because of changing the app name and folders etc.) all links to other apps are broken - Wacom cannot link an old pref to another different named file.
So why is this necessary? Why is Adobe not able to UPDATE like all other developers and UPGRADE maybe once a year or once in two years - and with a preset-saving option / export in the old and import in the new one? Why?

I'm really disappointed about how the develpment culture changed in Adobe - through all applications. Hope you will make things better in future. Otherwise there are now some really good alternatives on the market which all supports Adobe filetypes but with a useful way of update, upgrade and payment culture ...

Sincerely,
Florian

I couldnt agree more I cannot find the advanced option on the adobe extension manager to change the option to keep filters presets etc when an upgrade occurs.

Wow! I can't believe that there aren't more users up in arms about this issue. Not just Photoshop, but all CC! Every time I update, the settings I have taken days and weeks to hone, just vanish! What the hell Adobe! I've been a fan and professional user since the early days, but I can see no reason why the personalised palette layout and settings cannot be saved for the next update, settings that are critical to the way a designer or illustrator prefers to work. It's ridiculous! Just sort this out Adobe.
