Lightroom CC: All of my folders are gone.

I have just activated a new subscription and migrated my Lightroom 6 file however now all of my folders are gone. It would take me weeks to fix this. There must be another way.
I can't believe that Adobe would allow this to happen. It has never happened in the past.
If it can't be fixed easily I am cancelling my subscription.

Just hold up and tell us what’s happened.

Firstly, which subscription did you sign up for?

Secondly, are all of your photos still there?

I’m guessing you probably signed up for a subscription for the new cloud-native Lightroom app, so before we start trying to fix your problem, I have to ask, is that the one you wanted? It has fewer features than Lightroom Classic (which is the next version on from Lightroom 6), and stores all of the photos in the cloud so they can be accessed from multiple devices. Since you’re so worried about folders, I think you actually wanted Lightroom Classic.

Yes, I signed up for the cloud-native Lightroom and 1TB of storage. This is the one that I wanted because I want to be able to view my photos on all of my devices however I did not want to lose any features either. I need folders because that is the way my old version was and it would take weeks to sort out which I am not willing to do.

It is an either/or choice right now. You either pick Lightroom Classic, with folders and all the old features, or you pick Lightroom CC with fewer features but cloud sync. This may help you decide https://www.lightroomqueen.com/lightr...

If you decide to stick with CC, you’d need to turn your folders into collections, since CC doesn’t use folders. If you temporarily install Lightroom Classic as a trial and enable sync, you could still do this without having to start over. Dragging folders down to the collections panel in Classic creates a collection of the same name and same contents, so it’ll be the easiest way forward.

Alternatively, if you don’t need originals in the cloud, you could stick with Lightroom Classic on your main computer, sync smart previews to the cloud and use LRCC on your other devices to view and do some edits (but with warnings that not everything syncs, such as keywords).

I have now downloaded Lightroom Classic and I see all of my folders. I still want to be able to see a low res image of my pictures on my iPhone and iPad, can this be done in the classic version?
I want to thank you very much for all of your help.

Yes. Click the Identity Plate (top left) and start sync. Then next to any collections of photos you want to see on your phone, check the box on the left (or just drag the photos to the All Synced Photographs collection in the Catalog panel). Wait for it to sync, and hey presto, they should appear on your phone/iPad too.

I changed my subscription to Lightroom Classic with 20gb of storage but now my storage is full and I can't find a way to empty it. I went to Creative Cloud....Files....Archive but I am told that I do not have any.
Your help would be appreciated. Thanks.
