the application opening screen appears after which immediately a spinning multicoloured ball appears and the application remains hanging.  I can do nothing else but force quit.  I am running Lightroom on a MacBook Pro.  I have already tried re-installing both creative cloud and the application, rebooted, exited creative cloud and signed in again, cleared the OOBE folder.  Nothing works.  On the other hand, Photoshop cc has no problems ?  Please help !

Hi Guy,

Could you share your macOS version?

Are you getting the Crash Dialog for Lightroom once it closes immediately?

Also, could you try to disable GPU manually? Go to https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom/kb/lightroom-gpu-faq.html for the steps.

Thanks,

If there's a cache or application state or log corruption issue, try running Onyx (https://www.titanium-software.fr/en/index.html), making sure you're using the correct version for your macOS. You can just run everything in the Automation tab, or you can choose specific things to run (but make sure you understand, by reading, what it's doing). Also try Disk Warrior!
