With the Adobe photoshop touch for iPad could you make it compatible with the iPad 1 as you would get a lot more sales, 1 being me as it looks really good but i dont want to buy an iPad 2 just for photoshop

I had to use iTunes to buy Photoshop Touch so that I could install this on my iPad 1 (won't say here how, just google, but my iPad is *not* jailbroken).

It has been working just fine, like iPhoto, but it's a shame that one has to use subterfuges to install such great apps on a piece of equipment that I bought *new*, from a well known shop, just 1 year ago. It's even more painful when said apps work great on my iPad 1...

@Adobe: Just add some code to not try to use the camera if not found, test some more on iPad 1 due to lower system memory, et voilá, open up a great app for so many devices that you're leaving in the cold needlessly...

The restriction has nothing to do with the camera, but with the limited amount of memory and processing power available on the older tablet.

I know that. It's just that I've been working with it and, despite some occasional blow-ups, it has worked great on my iPad 1. I believe that, should you guys be willing to put some extra effort into it, it would work flawlessly on iPad 1 as well.

It may still not run as snappy as on an iPad 2 or 3, but hey, warn the users that it may run slower on an iPad 1! How many apps have minimum and recommended specs? Even the full-blown Photoshop has minimum and recommended specs, doesn't it? Set the minimum to iPad 1 and recommended to iPad 2!

You'd sure get millions more customers. I won't be throwing away a perfectly working 1 yo device to run 1 or 2 apps! I just can't afford to spend 500+ USD on new devices every year. I believe you'll see many more users like me, maybe not resorting to hacks to buy and run the app on their devices but simply not buying/running it at all.

*Please* do think a bit more about iPad 1 owners.

Thank you,
