Hi All,  I am technical consultant. Our company uses Adobe Photoshop cs5.  We are planning to upgrade to newer version. What would be the best version to replace the old one. For example , is there any standalone package available for Photoshop..like using the application without signing to Adobe (serial based license).  Thanks !

It's a subscription based license since CC was introduced.  The Photographer's plan is the lowest priced plan (and should meet your needs, even if you're not using Lightroom):

If Photoshop Elements allows you to do what's needed, it is available as a non-subscription software license:

Affinity Photo is a newer photo editing product to the market that could also meet your needs.  I think it's a flat $49.99.  Other than Affinity is doing heavy marketing on social media, I can't tell you too much about it.  (https://affinity.serif.com/en-us/photo/

Not really, but with the Elements XXL plugin for Elements most advanced Photoshop functionality becomes available in Elements. Might be worth a try. Otherwise, have a look at either PhotoLine or Affinity Photo. Or both :-)

Thanks for the information. One more doubt, this is regarding the license. I heard that for Adobe Acrobat there is Classic and continuous track and the Classic edition is something related with serial based license. Is there something like for Adobe Photoshop application with serial based license now?
