When Adobe Photoshop Elements 15 is in "organizer mode" my mouse pointer is not visible an i cannot interact with menus in the menu bar because menus don't scroll down.

Robert,
You don't need to turn off the auto-hide taskbar if you like it.
Let's say you open with auto-hide taskbar on and 'maximized' window. The menus are not available.
You go to non maximized mode, and drag the bottom right corner very slightly (the difference with maximized should not be significant). That setting is sticky. You can forget about the bug.

By the way, rather than paying for an Elements version before testing, it's smarter to use the trial version first. You don't have to bother with a refund if you are not happy.

Michael, thank you for this it worked. I've been using PSE for years without problems so thought I was safe to purchase, don't worry I won't be doing it again!

Has there been a resolution found for this problem yet? I have used Elements for over ten years and I have never had to get rid of auto hide toolbar. What gives? Why is Adobe going backwards?

Has the problem with the drop-down menus in Organizer not working due to the taskbar auto-hide on been fixed and is there a download available?

I have the all the same problems as been reported by other people. I have had three Chat sessions, two of which tech support took over my computer for a total of nine hours. In the end they said "You have a problem we cannot fix and will get back to you". That was a week ago. I bought the electronic version so I have nothing to return. If this trouble has existed for months, why is Adobe still selling a defective product? I have over 15,000 photos that Elements 15 converted to that format and are now worthless to me. Can I say that I am more then a little upset with Adobe?

Does it also provide the capability to organize and tag photos?  And can you import the Adobe catalog?

It is now several months since I bought the program and had to get a refund. They are still selling the product even though they haven't fixed the problem. Can someone at Adobe please give us an update as to what is happening. Is there any hope or are they just cashing in on what they can get from their defective product?

I can live with the work-around to slightly minimize the window to get Elements 15 menus to work while Adobe works on a fix.  What I can't live with is the poor performance.  It now takes me a minute to tag a person in photos.  Adobe - better fix things quick otherwise you risk losing a bunch of customers.

I disabled my ATI Radeon driver and the drop down menus started to work.  Once organizer was open I could then re-enable my display driveres and the drop downs continued to work untill I closed the program.  Every time I go to open the organizer I have to disable the display drivers open organizer and them re-enable the drivers and it seems to work.  A better work around then just leaving the drivers disabled.

My question is; Why haven't they built the workaround into the program yet? This was not a problem with the earlier versions so what the hell is going on?

I would have thought that a fix would have been found by now. Maybe we have to wait for Elements 16 and hope that this release works.

It is now almost three months since I bought Elements 15 and reported the problem. Today, I decided to download it again and try it again. Guess what? They haven't fixed the problem and yet they continue to sell the faulty program. Why do they not update us with what is happening?

Sorry to hear this, but not surprised, Adobe don't seem to care that their customers who purchased Photoshop Elements 15 in good faith are feeing frustrated and ripped off.

Agreed.  The performance of 15 is what is really driving me crazy.  I can't figure out how to get a hold of Adobe.  And I can't get v14 to work either.  I am ready to try a different product.  I welcome any suggestions.

Keep PSE for the editor which is stable and good. I have found ACDSee works well along side Elements as an organizer (and the Pro version is good for non-destructive batch processing/developing of raw files allowing different presets to be saved).

It would be nice if Adobe could at least acknowledge our comments and advise of an update. Maybe everyone in Australia should contact Consumer Affairs and advise that Adobe is selling a faulty product. Everyone has been very patient in waiting for a fix maybe it is time for us to let the world know that Elements 15 is faulty and not to purchase it.

Someone else might not know about Help>Updates.  That's why I shared.
Philippe saw update info upon launching.
Also, some visitors here may not know about Edit>Preferences>Application Updates>Update Options.

Is anyone experiencing performance problems with PSE15?  The software was close to inoperable on my machine.  Tagging people took over a minute per person per picture.  Reverted back to PSE14 and everything is working much better.

I'm experiencing the same Organizer 15 disappearing cursor problem.  The big problem is that I teach classes on Photoshop Elements and Lightroom as well as Photography and Windows 10.  I am an experienced user, none of the workarounds work.  How am I expected to recommend and teach PSE 15 if I, of all people, can't get it to work!  Image standing in front of a class demonstrating Organizer 15 without a cursor.  Ridiculous!  Come on Adobe you can do better.

I appreciate teachers, as we all should and understand your frustration. What I don't appreciate is Adobe ingnoriing all these complaints. Nothing has been done for customers who purchased a product in good faith that is not working properly.
