Lightroom: Performance still not optimized for the Retina iMac

The retina iMac is the dream computer for photographers. Adobe Lightroom is pretty much the only good option out there for powerful photo management. I bought the top-of-the-line retina iMac last year and Lightroom runs like garbage on it. Every scroll through thumbnails is jerky, every movement of any kind lacks fluidity. What gives? Please tell me you are working to utilize metal or something. This is so depressing. By the way, Aperture is smooth as butter on this thing. Shame it was abandoned.

Can you confirm whether you're using 6.1.1 or 6.2.1 please?

I am not at home, so cannot check the version number for sure, but as I only installed this 2 days ago and ran the updater I assume I must be on 6.2.1.

Check out the next dot release (Lr 6.3) when it comes out. There is additional optimization that will be very helpful to Lr performance on high resolution monitors.
