I just bought Lightroom from Amazon, downloaded and installed it and it will not launch. I am so angry.

I've wasted a £100 and a couple of hours on this today. It should just work, its inconceivable that paid for software going on as a clean installation from a company as large as Adobe just completely fails.
Skype support abandoned our chat.
I am unable to simply buy and install this software. Everything about ADOBE is failing in this simple attempt to buy and install a piece of their software. Is there 1 brain in Adobe who can help and gives a crap about their customer support?

Hi Steven, I don't see an open case with Adobe. We don't use Skype for support.

Where did you originally go for help?

Did you download the installer from Amazon, or Adobe.com?

What OS/version are you running on?

Does Lightroom give a specific error when you try to launch it?

Hi Jeffrey, Thanks for the reply, I've been over all of that so many times already :(.

Yes you do provide support by skype!

I have email communications I can show and a skype chat.

I bought and downloaded from Amazon. It installed fine but would not launch, it just opened a window into my taskbar, no error.

OS is windows 7 64 bit - 8GB ram.

I can get a refund from Amazon, but I want to buy this software and outright and have it so I can use it, you know ...like launch it. That in itself seems impossible. Your site goes into page not found errors or forces me to the cloud monthly option.

I also uninstalled the amazon version and downloaded your latest version from Adobe (5.7.1), I had the same problem, would not launch.

Our agents are only supposed to use Adobe Connect for customer interactions and Skype is not installed on agents systems. Can you forward me the email address of the agent you are communicating with?

You can purchase Lightroom from Adobe.com, here: https://www.adobe.com/products/catalo... Purchasing from Amazon shouldn't really matter though.

In any case, we should be able to get you up and running. I'll have of our agents contact you directly.

Hi Steve,

I see a (closed) case now, and it looks like Chetna was able to help get Lightroom up and running for you.

Can you confirm you're all good (here or on twitter)?

Regards,
Pete
