Elements 2019: Camera Raw update to 11.2.1 needed for Canon EOS RP

I own a Canon EOS RP camera, whose RAW files are not recognized by “Photoshop Elements 2019 for Mac.” Unfortunately, the built-in ACR (Adobe Camera Raw) is only version 11.1.0.112.

There is a need for update of ACR into version 11.2.1 for this camera's RAW files to be recognized.

I downloaded the “Camera Raw plug-in INSTALLER” current version (11.2.1) of ACR from adobe's website and I ran the installer. Still, nothing changed in the version of ACR in PSE 2019...!!...:-(

A few minutes ago, Adobe Support informed me that ACR 11.2.1 is NOT supported at all for “Photoshop Elements 2019” as standalone software (it is only supported for the monthly paid version of Photoshop Elements).

I feel disappointed and frustrated to have paid for the 2019 PSE, after an earlier purchase of PSE 2018: the only reason for my paying for a new version was to get to use the CURRENT version of ACR...

SHAME on Adobe, for not honouring its own paid customers!

Why isn't this feature (the ACR plugin) automatically updated into the whole Adobe eco-system...?! Why do we need to beg for updates manually?!

What a pity!

It's best to add your comments and especially to vote on existing posts so that the issue is best prioritized.
There is always some time to adapt the ACR version to the specific version of Elements. In the meantime, you can use the free DNGconverter.
