Adobe Bridge can't open image files in Adobe Photoshop

In Bridge CC 2015, I right click an image and here are my options to open said image.

COM Surrogate
Google Chrome
Microsoft PowerPoint
Windows Photo Viewer

Why does Adobe Bridge not open files straight into Photoshop? I'm sure this used to be a feature about 10 years ago. Setting up the prefs area doesn't work.

Sounds like your registry is a little messed up, or the Bridge settings aren't set to open those extensions in Photoshop.

Thanks for the reply. I was miffed to as why this wasn't default but turns it probably was!

I tried Settings > File Type Associations > Reset to Defaults but that didn't seem to do the trick.

My startup script "Adobe Photoshop CC 2015" is checked in bridge. Disabling and reenabling does not fix it.

I'm just dragging and dropping which works for the most part.

It is working for me, and most other users. A few people had problems with their registry if they removed older versions after installing CC 2015, and that left CC 2015 not registered as opening many formats.

Of course, I forgot to write down the reference for the repair script - so I'll have to ask someone else at work tomorrow.
