Lightroom Classic 9.3: Adjustment brush is not working

Since 9.3 upgrade installed adjustment brush paints pink (which I did not select) but area painted does not accept any slider input. Effectively the adjustment brush is not working.

Press O (letter "o") to turn off the adjustment brush overlay which, by defaults, appears pink and shows the paint mask.

The "paints pink" thing is probably because you have the mask overlay turned on.
Pressing "o" on the keyboard should toggle it on/off or use the checkbox in the toolbar below the image.  If you don't see the toolbar, use "t" to toggle that on/off.

UPDATE: it does appear to work but the mask was very faint.
Win10.

If it is faint, check your Flow and Density settings in the Adjustment Brush to make sure they aren't set too low.
