LIGHTroom: adjust brightness for entire Blurb book

Hi Adobe team,

Just as the Print module has a Print Adjustment section in the Print Job properties (to adjust brightness/contrast for all prints), it would be very convenient to have this for Blurb books too!

Many people complain that their prints are (a bit) too dark and then they are faced with complex color calibration information, and then the Blurb ICC profile doesn't work with LR, etc, etc.

A simple "turn up brightness" button just before uploading your book would be simple and effective for most LR users. Then there's no need to manually adjust all photos in your book (and after uploading the book, re-adjust for screen).

If prints are too dark, generally, monitors are too bright.

I, for one, would be an advocate of removing the Print Job Brightness Contrast controls as currently implemented. They muddy the waters and (without a preview functionality) are fairly worthless.

In your scenario, I can't help but feel like I have to change the way I like to work (i.e. using a bright screen) to (Blurb) printers because I sometimes work on books. If creating books would be a daily task, I would probably consider your idea, but that's not the case. Also, I love bright screens, I don't want the "brightness" of paper.

'm also frustrated/confused about this. I've struggled to get my Blurb (physical) books to match the brightness I'm working with in the LR Blurb module (v5.2). I've callibrated my LCD (desktop) monitor for 100 cd/m2 (in order to reduce the brightness of my monitor) but this still does not match what I'm getting in the physical copy; the books are still *too dark*.

What else do I have to do in LR/Blurb/my setup to get these to match??
