Lightroom Classic: Ability to add thick print borders, larger than 56pts. I need like 4-6 inch borders.

I'm fine art printing to 44’ roll paper. I would like to add a white border to my image in the print module. I can do this, HOWEVER, it only allows me to add a border of 36pt. If I add a white stroke too that is a total of 56pts, which is roughly 1⁄2”. But, I would like to add a big chunky 4-6” border (I’m printing large). So can you please add, two things. First, allow the border thickness size to be WAY bigger – or no limit. And two add a drop down to use pts as a measurement or English / metric. I need this function so that I have cut marks and get a perfectly uniform cut. Please consider. Thanks! Sure I can do this in photoshop . . . but all I need is the function expanded for large printing! Thanks.

Thanks Bob Smith! I'm thinking it is a super simple fix . . . in the code.

In the print modul (right side)
1. you can change the system to mater inch px..
2. Use up down left right to place the image in space.
3. If you export your image to file you can castum the size much easier and save the file with the border and then print.

I think photoshop will make it faster

Hi Steve,

As Sharon mentioned, there is a popup with title Ruler Units under Layout, where you can change to inches. As for the limit, currently you are allowed to added total of 8.01'' horizontal margin and 11.44'' of vertical margin.
