Since it appears that Lighting Effects and Blur Gallery use a similar engine, would it be possible to add the Grain tab from Blur to LE?

Pretty please?

Lighting Effects and Blur Gallery don't share any code.
But it is still a valid request.

Thanks Chris. It's been awhile since i've used lighting effects, but i thought i remember being able to zoom and pan around my image using the spacebar and scrubby zoom. In CC15.1, i don't have access to either and the only way i can zoom is using cmd+- and there's no way i can find to move around my image once zoomed in.

I tried turning the AppFrame on/off and get the same results.
Hmm, looks like CC14 is the same... guess i remember incorrectly...

That sounds like you're using the old plugin, and not the new 3D version of Lighting Effects (which just previews on the document).

Odd. When i run the LE filter, i see the 3D panel for a few seconds and then it disappears once the image has loaded up and is replaced by the Lights panel.
Here's what it looks like when loading:

I've just un-installed and re-installed and the behavior is exactly the same as before.

None of the move/pan/zoom tools are available and there's no 3D panel visible after the initial flash.

Reset Lighting Effects has no effect.
