I have been having some issues with regards to Lightroom and how it effects my workflow. When I am out on assignment, I have my laptop with the small catalog of the photos taken during that assignment. I make whatever changes/publish/etc. However when I get back home, I want to merge it with my main catalog on my desktop. Problem is, it takes quite a while (Several hours), primarily due to the "Checking for changed duplicate photos" stage. It would be nice to have an option to skip this stage if I (as the user) know that I don't have any duplicates, and therefore don't need to waste the resources/time to do so.
