Lightroom Classic/Photoshop: Add the ability to export a layered Tiff file to PNG (with transparency)

This was an incredibly frustrating issue. I have several hundred product photos that I imported into lightroom as a camera raw, edited in lightroom and then sent to photoshop for deep etching. At the time and where I spent most of my time, I worked with the TIFF files that lightroom and photoshop originally created, under the notion that I could then export in bulk in lightroom as a PNG with a transparent background. To my dismay, lightroom has no way of exporting these photos with a transparent background, which I need specifically as these photos will be used for a print document in Indesign. Now my option is to export in photoshop manually or using a script.

Whats worse is that I wasted a major part of my work week with adobe support for them to tell me that this was all basically a waste of time and the feature just doesnt exist.

In summary, add transparency support for Adobe Lightroom Classic when converting layered TIFF to PNG.

PNG with Transparency is supported.  Are you using the current version of Lightroom Classic?

PNG format
https://helpx.adobe.com/lightroom-classic/help/supported-file-formats.html#PNGformat
Developed as a patent-free alternative to GIF, Portable Network Graphics (PNG) format is used for lossless compression and for display of images on the web. Unlike GIF, PNG supports 24‐bit images and produces background transparency without jagged edges; however, some web browsers do not support PNG images. PNG format supports RGB, Indexed Color, Grayscale, and Bitmap mode images without alpha channels. PNG preserves transparency in grayscale and RGB images.

Ive tried it, even that page and video, it hasn't been working. It has only worked thus far if the edited image has been saved by lightroom/photoshop as a psd, format, not a TIFF format

Attention, it is necessary that the original .tif is recorded with zones transparent otherwise, there will not be transparent zone in exportation in LrC.....

Here the example of the recording of the original .tiff since PS, what is going to create a .tif with the transparent zones! Sorry, Google translation !

Cela a en fait résolu magnifiquement mon problème. Heureusement, Photoshop et Bridge ont un traitement d'image par lots, ce qui m'a permis de réenregistrer toutes les images du TIFF sans perdre aucun des liens vers Lightroom.

Merci beaucoup.

This actually solved my problem beautifully. Luckily photoshop and bridge have batch image processing, which let me re-save all of the TIFF's images without losing any of the links to lightroom.

Thankyou, very much appreciated.
