Add option to turn off Stacking

I can see where Stacking could be a useful feature for some people, but I have no use for it and am getting really tired of having to unstack files that were accidently stacked in Library mode.  Having an option in Preferences to turn off the Stacking option would be a great help for those of us who find Stacking an annoyance and would still allow those who stack images to continue to do so.

What kind of stacks are you talking about? Lightroom can stack a raw file and its tiff derivative when you send the raw file to Photoshop, but that can be turned off in the preferences. It can also stack panorama or HDR images with their brackets, but again that can be turned off (in the dialog).

As above there is no Auto Stacking unless you enable the options to do so.
There is also a keyboard shortcut to Stack or to Unstack.  Ctrl + g to stack and Ctrl + Shift + g to unstack.

Maybe you are accidentally hitting Ctrl + g when 2 or more images are selected?

Thanks for your responses.  I found that the box "Stack with Original" was checked in the External Editor section of Preferences.  Unchecked that and am assuming that'll fix things.
