I’ve run into a unique situation. I was recently given an oldMicrosoft Surface 2 running Windows 8.1 RT. Not full windows and limited inwhat it can do, I did a Google search to see if there was a way to use it as adrawing tablet, ala Wacom. I found a program called splashtop thatduplicates/extends my computers desktop and any open program onto the tablet. Ithought “cool, not I can use a (capacitive) stylus on the tablet to makeselections and be drawing right on the picture”! Well, if only it worked thatway.

With the stylus, I canclick on any of the buttons/tools within Photoshop cc 2015.5, but it does notregister any input on the picture itself. The stylus even works with otherprograms, like if I open Topaz Remask 5 I am able to trace around the edge ofsomething I want to cut out just fine, and all functionality in Corel PaintshopPro X7, but not in PS. The stylus works on every other program when I’m justusing the tablet on its own, or as a duplicate screen being fed from my mainPC, but I cannot manipulate anything on a picture open in PS.

I would like to have this message sent along to the developmentteam in hopes that they will add capacitive touch usability into PS CC. I haveread on several forums other people who would also like to see thisfunctionality added.
