Add a function in Photoshop so that when text is scaled using free transform, it forgets the original point size.

I work a lot in After Effects and I rely on Photoshop to create my storyboards. The copy / paste functionality is awesome as it retains the kerning and leading properties, but if the text was scaled using free transform at any point of the design process, it screws things up. The text is pasted in at the original point size. Also, if a photoshop document with text layers is imported into after effects and those layers are converted to editable text, the size appears correct but the scale properties are not at 100%. It would be nice if there was a preference that makes photoshop "forget" the original point size. I don't see any advantage of PS remembering it.

Howdy Mike,

I believe what you're looking for is the functionality in Libraries.  If you create a text style based on a transformed text layer and then reapply that style back to the layer, it will clear the transformation and set the point size to be the equivalent of the transformation.

Hope that helps,
