Photoshop CC 2018: Actions not working properly

Just ran the update from CC2017 to CC2018 and now our skin smoothing actions aren't working.  They just lightly pain over the image, but do not smooth.  They still work properly on CC 2017 that we have on another computer.  We have double checked brush settings, etc.  Any solutions?

When you say "our skin smoothing actions" - are these actions you created or actions you purchased? If I emailed you directly, could you provide a copy of the action for us to troubleshoot?

They are actions we purchased--we have emailed the company and they don't have a solution.  Nothing seems to be broken with the action (it runs fine and all the layers look the same in 2017 as in 2018) -- when we go to paint on the smoothing in 2018 version it doesn't smooth just paints a light film over the image.  We revert back to CC 2017 and it works just fine.  Tried deleting and reinstalling the action in 2018 and still have the same problems.  Thought maybe it was a brush setting but can't find any problems with opacity, etc.

Tara I have the same problem!  Mine is an MCP Powder Your Nose. Is that your issue?  I just updated to CC 2018 yesterday.

Mine is Florabella skin smoothing action -- I finally just reverted back to 2017 :(

wacome tablet isnt functioning properly in terms of selection and clicks, I tried to install the latest drive from intuis website but still have the same problem.
Any advice please?

Just got an update to 2018 and all actions are not working, curves layer is upside down. All actions were working perfectly on 2017 version. What's happening? Now I am trying to come back to 2017. Waisted a lot of time.

Same issue here. I just updated to 2018 (and so glad I unchecked the setting to delete previous versions, so I can easily uninstall the new one). All of my actions are now shown with a different icon and the term "alias" in parenthesis - (alias) - is listed beside each action name in the Presets folder (I'm on a Mac). I went back to my previous version of 2015.5 and actions no longer load either. I'm going to unintsall 2018 and see if that resolves any issues with my previous version.

Another oddity is that one of my actions doesn't show up in the Actions panel but somehow ended up in my Downloads folder. It's the only action out of place, unsure why. Also right clicking the move tool in PS CC 2018 flashes a thumbnail image of the picture in the "Learn" panel for photography before selecting the move/artboard tool. Not sure why that happens.

When updated to a newer version, I highly suggest deselecting the option to delete previous versions so one can easily revert back to it. It eases the frustration as all too often new versions may have a malfunction or two. I hope this gets resolved soon.

I just tested the default actions and they don't even work right.  I am really upset b/c I went to 2018 CC and deleted all of my old installs.  Now I have to backtrack and take another day.

Did you ever get it figured out? I just got this new version from a super old version of photoshop and now my PTM actions are not working properly at all. Keeps telling me invert is not available at this time. Grrrr....

Please post an action and the file you're trying to run the action on (on dropbox or Creative Cloud) so we can help troubleshoot.

Hey Jeffrey,

Been out of the whole design industry for a while and now new to Creative Cloud. I'm experiencing similar problems to the rest of the guys. How can I get the actions and images to you to troubleshoot? Ready to pull my hair out.
