ACR Kills Paths

As a retoucher, I get a folder full of images, each containing a path for silo. I would like to be able to run these images (in batch) thru a tweak in ACR as the first step in my retouch workflow.

However, once adjustments are made in ACR, upon opening them in PS the paths are gone.

Is there a reason for this? I'm wondering if something can be scripted as a workaround?

BTW, I know ACR can be run as a filter in CC, but I'd like to do this in batch mode.

ACR always creates a new document on output, so paths and other features in the input document are gone.
